How to Read a Delin Seafood Chiller Model Number (DL-E015R2A-AA Explained)
Every Delin model number is a compact spec sheet. Learn to decode the 9-part code — capacity, refrigerant, power supply, structure — and how a one-to-two unit is written, so you can verify exactly what you're buying.
A Delin seafood chiller's model number is not a random string — it is a compact spec sheet. Once you know the code, a line like DL-E015R2A-AA tells you the machine's cooling capacity, whether it heats as well as cools, which refrigerant it ships with, its power supply, and whether it is an integrated or split unit — all before you read a single datasheet. This guide decodes the 9-part naming rule so you can verify exactly what you are buying.

The Model Number Is a Compact Spec Sheet
Take the full form Delin uses in its catalog:
DL – E 015 R 2 A F – A01
That is nine segments, each carrying one piece of information. Here is the whole code at a glance:
| Segment | Example | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| ① Brand | DL | Delin |
| ② Series | E | Seafood constant-temperature machine (seawater chiller) |
| ③ Capacity code | 015 | HP × 10 → 1.5 HP (005 = 0.5 HP, 010 = 1 HP, 050 = 5 HP…) |
| ④ Cooling type | R | R = heating & cooling, D = cooling only |
| ⑤ Refrigerant | 2 | 1 = R134A · 3 = R404A · 4 = R407C · 5 = R410A |
| ⑥ Power supply | A | A = 220 V / 1~/50 Hz, F = 380 V / 3~/50 Hz |
| ⑦ Structure | (blank) | blank = integrated (all-in-one), F = split unit |
| ⑧ Generation | A | A = 1st generation, B = 2nd generation… |
| ⑨ Non-standard code | 01 | 01, 02, 03… for custom variants |
The Capacity Code: "010" Means 1 HP, Not 10 HP
The single most common mistake is misreading segment ③. The capacity code is the horsepower times ten, zero-padded to three digits:
- 005 = 0.5 HP
- 008 = 0.8 HP
- 010 = 1 HP
- 015 = 1.5 HP
- 020 = 2 HP
- 030 = 3 HP
- 050 = 5 HP
- 060 = 6 HP
So DL-E010R2A-AA is a 1 HP machine, not a 10 HP one — and DL-E050R2F-AA is a 5 HP machine, not 50 HP. When a quotation quotes you a "5 HP" unit, check that the model number actually reads 050. This single habit catches most capacity inflation before you pay for it.
Refrigerant, Power Supply and Structure
Three segments tell you how the unit is built:
⑤ Refrigerant. Refrigerant is selectable: R134A, R404A, R407C or R410A. The charged refrigerant is confirmed on the unit's nameplate — tell us your application and we will match the right one.
⑥ Power supply. A = 220 V single-phase / 50 Hz (plugs into a normal commercial supply), F = 380 V three-phase / 50 Hz. This matches the split you already know: 1–3 HP units run single-phase, the 3.5 HP and 5 HP units run three-phase. If you need the full reasoning, see our guide on single-phase vs. three-phase power for seawater chillers.
⑦ Structure. Blank means integrated (the compressor and water box in one cabinet — what most restaurants and markets buy). F means split (condensing unit separate from the water-side module), for installs where you want the noisy part outside.
Real Models, Decoded
Applying the code to the models Delin actually sells:
| Model number | Capacity | Type | Refrigerant | Power | Structure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DL-E010R2A-AA | 1 HP | heating & cooling | R410A | 220 V / 1~ | integrated |
| DL-E020R2A-AA | 2 HP | heating & cooling | R410A | 220 V / 1~ | integrated |
| DL-E035R2F-AA | 3.5 HP | heating & cooling | R410A | 380 V / 3~ | integrated |
| DL-E050R2F-AA | 5 HP | heating & cooling | R410A | 380 V / 3~ | integrated |
The trailing "A A" is segments ⑧ and ⑨: A = first generation, plus a non-standard-change code. For the full spec sheets and tank-volume tables behind each of these, see our 1HP–3.5HP sizing guide and the 5HP DL-E050R2F-AA guide.
Single-Unit vs One-to-Two
The standard machine is a single unit: one host, one water circuit, one tank or pool. Its rear shows a single set of water connections feeding one tank.

A one-to-two (一拖二) unit is different: one host drives two independent tanks or pools at the same time. Its model number writes the two capacities with a plus sign:
DL – E 015+015 R 2 A F – A01
That "015+015" means two 1.5 HP circuits in one cabinet — one host, two water loops. The rear of a one-to-two unit shows two sets of water connections, one for each tank.

One-to-two units suit restaurants and markets running two tanks side by side from a single compressor, saving space and one extra electrical feed. If you see "015+015" on a quote, you are being offered a dual-circuit machine, not a single 3 HP unit — the two tanks are controlled separately.
Check the Model Number Before You Pay
Because every segment of the Delin code is verifiable, the model number is your simplest defence against misrepresentation:
- Match capacity to the code — a "5 HP" quote must read 050, not 030 or 020.
- Match the refrigerant digit — confirm segment ⑤ is the refrigerant you actually need.
- Match the power digit — A vs F tells you whether it will run on your supply.
This is the same discipline we walk through in how to identify a fake 5HP water chiller — the model number is the first place a disguised machine gives itself away.
