Swimming Pool Chiller

Pool Water Chiller for Hotels, Resorts, Spas & High-Temperature Pool Cooling

Cool Pool Water, Even in the Hottest Climates

An unshaded pool in the Gulf, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, or southern Europe quickly climbs past 32 °C in summer — too warm to swim in comfortably, and warm enough to accelerate algae growth and chlorine demand. A dedicated swimming pool chiller removes that heat continuously, holding pool water at a comfortable 25–30 °C set-point while the sun keeps loading heat back in.

How a Swimming Pool Water Chiller Works

A Delin pool water chiller works like the reverse of a pool heater. A circulation pump pushes pool water through a heat exchanger inside the chiller cabinet. Refrigerant absorbs heat from the water and rejects it to the outside air through the condenser, and the cooled water returns to the pool. A microcomputer controller monitors water temperature and cycles the compressor to hold your set-point, typically between 25 °C and 30 °C, with an accuracy of around ±1 °C.

Titanium: Built for Chlorine, Salt and Bromine

Pool water is aggressive. Chlorine, bromine, and especially salt-chlorine generators attack copper and ordinary steel heat exchangers from the inside. That is why every Delin pool chiller uses a pure Grade 2 titanium heat exchanger. Titanium ignores chlorinated and salt water, so the exchanger does not corrode, never leaks copper ions into the pool, and stays effective for years — the same reason our titanium evaporators are used directly in seawater and marine systems.

High-Temperature Pool Cooling (50–60 °C)

Some projects are the opposite problem: you need to cool water that is already very hot. For a Middle East spa and wellness project we supplied a 14.5 kW (5 HP) Delin machine to cool a 3,000 L pool fed with high-temperature water, bringing the inlet from 50–60 °C down to a comfortable 25–30 °C. Where a pool is filled from geothermal, process, or solar-heated water sources, we build high-temperature models with an evaporator and condenser sized for the hot inlet — tell us your water source temperature and flow rate and we will size the unit accordingly.

Capacities and Sizing

Delin swimming pool chillers range from 3.5 kW to 210 kW (1–60 HP), supplied as air-cooled or water-cooled units. As a guide, a residential or small hotel pool of 30–50 m³ usually needs around 1–3 HP; large resort pools and commercial facilities step up to 5 HP and above, and the largest installations run several units in parallel. Rather than guessing, send us your pool dimensions, location, and target temperature — our engineers calculate the heat load and recommend the exact capacity, as we did for the high-temperature pool project in Saudi Arabia.

Built for Round-the-Clock Summer Duty

A pool chiller runs all day in peak season, so Delin builds them with commercial-grade Copeland / Emerson / Panasonic compressors, over-temperature and overload protection, and high-ambient condenser options for sites where air temperature reaches 50 °C. Units run on 220 V/50 Hz single phase or 380 V/50 Hz three phase (60 Hz versions available on request), and the anti-corrosion casing is designed for outdoor installation beside the pool plant.

Factory-Direct Swimming Pool Chillers

Delin HVAC is the manufacturer, not a trading company. Our 8,000 m² factory in Foshan has built chillers and pure titanium heat exchangers for export since 2002, and AquaChill Tech is its official global export brand. Order direct from the factory: MOQ is just 1 unit, standard models ship within 15–25 days, customized capacities within 25–40 days, and every machine carries a 12-month warranty with our engineers' installation, water-flow, and set-point guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a swimming pool need a chiller?
In hot climates an unshaded pool can climb above 32 °C in summer — too warm to be comfortable and warm enough to speed up algae growth. A swimming pool chiller removes heat continuously and holds the water at a comfortable 25–30 °C set-point.
Can the pool chiller handle chlorinated or saltwater pools?
Yes. Every Delin pool chiller uses a pure Grade 2 titanium heat exchanger, which resists chlorine, bromine and salt-chlorine generator water without corroding or leaking metal ions into the pool.
Can it cool high-temperature water, for example 50–60 °C inlet?
Yes. We build high-temperature models for pools and spa tanks fed by geothermal, process or solar-heated water. For a Middle East wellness project our 14.5 kW (5 HP) machine cooled a 3,000 L pool from a 50–60 °C inlet down to 25–30 °C.
What capacity do I need for my pool?
Sizing depends on pool volume, sun exposure and target temperature. A residential or small hotel pool of 30–50 m³ usually needs around 1–3 HP; large resort pools go to 5 HP and above, or run several units in parallel. Send us your pool dimensions and location and we will calculate the exact heat load.
What is your MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 1 unit. Standard models ship within 15-25 days, and customized capacities within 25-40 days. Every chiller carries a 12-month warranty.
